Many customers have always felt that the upgraded control box is not waterproof, the old version is waterproof, or the old version is more waterproof than the upgraded version. Here we will introduce the special features of the upgraded control box.

First, let's take a look at the appearance of the control box:

① All-metal top cover, 2 external fans to accelerate the heat dissipation effect, and there is 704 glue on the fan power cord to prevent water from entering the control box.

② The metal top is designed with multiple strip compartments to provide better fan heat dissipation for the ESC, allowing the ESC to maintain relatively stable performance during long-term work.
Compared with the old model, which is only a plastic shell, it cannot provide a good heat dissipation effect for the ESC. The ESC will start to limit the motor speed due to excessive temperature, causing the thrust of the propeller to decrease. Therefore, the upgraded version can better meet the user's needs for long-term and high-intensity use.

Next, let's take a look at the inside of the control box:

③The bottom edge of the metal top cover is designed with a sealing groove, and the sealing groove is stuffed with sealing strips, which can closely fit the box and prevent water from entering the control box.
④The waterproof connector on the top of the box is closely connected with the cable, which can effectively prevent water from entering the control box.
⑤The control box is equipped with an exhaust valve, which can take away part of the heat from the box, prevent water vapour from entering, and prevent water droplets (or expansion) from forming inside the box due to heat generation.
⑥The ESC is close to the metal top cover, and the ESC osm position has a silicone cooling pad, which can effectively dissipate heat. Can be used for a long time in hot weather, the ESC will not trigger the temperature protection mode.
⑦ESC body are made of nano waterproof treatment, water droplets on the surface will not lead to ESC short-circuit damage.

Note: This product has a waterproof rating of IP67, supports splash-proof, and can be immersed in water as a whole (the power cord plug cannot be exposed to water), but it cannot be immersed in water for a long time. After long-term use, the cover can be removed for inspection and cleaning (equivalent to maintenance, which will extend the service life of the device).
