APISQUEEN Lightning Series ESC Parameter Setting Steps | Underwater Thruster Professional Debugging Tutorial

As an expert in underwater propulsion core components, APISQUEEN provides high-performance waterproof motors and ESC solutions for diving enthusiasts. This tutorial explains in detail the software setting methods of the Lightning series ESCs (including 60A/120A/160A models), which are suitable for the power system optimization of propeller propulsion, underwater robots and other equipment.

 

1. Equipment connection preparation

Applicable models: Lightning 60A/120A/160A ESC (Note: the operation process is the same for each model)
Connect the speed control board and power on the ESC. Use the speed control board to connect the USB data cable to the computer;
Wiring specifications:
▸ Yellow line of the ESC → D3 interface of the speed control board
▸ Black line of the ESC → GND interface of the speed control board
Power supply requirements:
The battery voltage range must be between 20v-50.2v, otherwise the ESC cannot be connected or burns out.

2. Software Configuration Process

Step 1: Start the dedicated software
Open the BLHeliSuite software provided by APISQUEEN (the version must match the ESC batch);
Step 2: COM port identification
Select the USB connection method and match the corresponding interface according to the computer identification port number (COM3/COM4, ​​etc.);

Step 3: Click the Read option to connect and read the current ESC parameters

The above are all the setting options and instructions for this series of ESCs. You can set them as needed.

After the settings are completed, click Save, as shown below:

After saving the parameters, click Read to check whether the parameters have been saved. After completion, disconnect the power supply and exit.

3. Common Problems Troubleshooting

Q1: Software error, as shown below:

Make sure to use the matching software version (due to different production batches, this series of ESCs have two dedicated software. The video uses BLHeliSuite32.9 software, but some also use BLHeliSuite31.1 version software. If the software is not used correctly, the above phenomenon will occur.)

Just change the software and connect in the same way.

 

Q2: What if I cannot connect to the software?

Set up as shown below (select in order):

Note that when doing this, unplug the ESC signal cable on the parameter adjustment board.

If you still cannot connect after setting, please change the computer socket and try again.
